Adan Canto was born on December 5, 1981, in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. With his parents’ encouragement, he began singing at 7. After turning 16, Canto left the home to pursue a musical career.
Adan’s father, José-Luis Narváez, worked as a dentist, while his mother, Marlyn Canto-Narváez, was a singer.
Before acting in films and TV, Canto spent five years as a musician in Mexico. He was the lead singer for the jazz band Del Canto.

Adan Canto Wife and Their Kids
Adan Canto’s wife, Stephanie Lindquist is an American sculptor and painter. They first met in 2012 when Adan was filming for The Following, in Brooklyn, New York.
Stephanie remained married to Canto from June 2017 until the time of his death. They welcomed their son, Roman Alder, on April 30, 2020, and a daughter, Eve Josephine, in 2022.
After her husband’s passing, Stephanie penned a heartfelt message on social media.
Cause of Death
Canto died of appendiceal cancer on January 8, 2024, at the age of 42. He was privately battling appendix cancer, which is a very rare condition. Unfortunately, we won’t be celebrating Adan Canto birthday.
Several actors mourned their loss including Kiefer Sutherland, Maggie Q, LaMonica Garrett, Sean Lew, and Shiva Negar. Likewise, Halle Berry, Adan’s co-star from X-Men, honored him.
Warner Bros. TV and Fox Entertainment, as the producers of The Cleaning Lady, released a joint statement mourning the loss of the beloved actor.
