Moved Back Home During COVID-19 Break

The 23-year-old lived alone in Plano, Texas, before the pandemic happened. Then, he returned home to be with his family after learning that the stoppage of FC Dallas practice sessions might last longer. He utilized his spare time at home by exercising and staying disciplined to maintain his condition and fitness.

Just before the pandemic, Paxton had to depart the US National Team camp to focus on injury rehabilitation. He came off of surgery and four months of rehab. But he again had to dial it back to the rising COVID-19 cases. He is thankful that he did not have to do anything alone.

Also, having a decent size backyard was a boon to the soccer star as it helped greatly to recover fully from his surgery. He spent the pandemic with his family playing board games and binge-watching the entire Marvel series. Moving back home to his family was a big change for Pomykal.

The athlete made the most of it, and as time passed, working out alone started to feel more normal to him. As Paxton returned to his family’s home during the pandemic, he could spend time with his brothers and dad. He still lives with his parents and considers himself fortunate to be able to spend time with his family.

Still Lives In Parental Property

Paxton Pomykal continues to live in the Highland Village home his parents built just before he was born. He considers himself lucky to host friends and family to watch him perform regularly. Paxton has already traveled to countries like England, France, Germany, Italy, Panama, and Spain because of his professional soccer life.

After training for several years, he comes to the family and friends he’s had for many years. Furthermore, Paxton Pomykal’s dad and mom are more than happy to witness him achieve so much more in the sport.

Pomykal currently plays alongside his teammate, Aidan Morrison, who was also picked for the American under-20 national soccer squad in January 2020.

Feels Incredibly Blessed

Paxton Pomykal, who grew up in Texas and watched Dallas matches in Frisco, believes it an enormous blessing to play for the club he grew up rooting for. He started his career with FC Dallas’ development academy, where he competed with the squad in the U.S. Development Academy. The talented midfielder played on FC Dallas’ U-16 and U-18 National Youth Championship-winning teams. He grew up watching the English Premier League and the MLS on television.

Besides, Pomykal is 5’8″ tall and weighs around 150 pounds. So, he is considerably younger and shorter than most of his professional counterparts.
