In July 2023, the La Liga club Barcelona announced that they had reached an agreement for Roque’s transfer from Athletico. Vitor signed the contract until June 30, 2031, and he has a buyout clause set at 500 million euros.
Vitor landed in Barcelona on December 27, and he will begin training on December 29, 2023. The Barca player is currently enjoying his early days in the Catalan capital.
Within a few days, Vitor will be presented as a Barcelona player. Hence, the teenage has briefly spoken about his experience in the Catalan capital. Vitor said that it’s been his dream to join the Barca. He said he will learn as much as possible and hopes for more victories.
Vitor Roque Barcelona Contract: How Much Did Barca Pay For Him?
Barca will pay an initial $33.3 million to Athletico Paranaense for Vitor Roque, with another $34.4 million due in potential bonuses.
Previously, Barcelona was close to finalizing Roque’s transfer from Athletico for $43.6 million. Currently, the forwards’s official registration with the club is in the last stage.
Once Vitor Roque Barcelona contract is finalized, he will make his official Barca debut on January 4, 2024, against Las Palmas at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. Further, the transfer window in Spain opens on January 2, 2024.

Xavi on Vitor Roque Barcelona Transfer
As per reports, Roque has just two days to adjust to Spanish life. Afterward, he will meet his manager, Xavi, on December 29 while appearing as the Barca player.
The Spanish football manager said that he is hopeful for the team’s newest addition. Further, Xavi said that Roque’s talent as a footballer will benefit the club.
The 18-year-old Brazilian striker played his final official match for Athletico PR on December 3, 2023, after scoring 28 goals in 80 appearances. During the season, Roque managed to score 21 of those goals in 44 matches.
Another Brazilian sensation, Endrick Felipe, joins Roque as one of Brazil’s youngest footballers to join the Spanish giants. As per reports, Enrick will join Real Madrid in July 2024.
