Started As A Gully Cricketer
Born on December 17, 1989, in Patiala, Punjab, she began playing the said sport as a gully cricketer. Moksha Chaudhary’s cricket journey started in 2012 with India Blue Women when she played in the Women’s Challenger Trophy in Mumbai, India. When she was selected for the 2013 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2012, she came very close to fulfilling her ambition of playing for the Indian women’s side in 2012. But she was unable to make it to the final selection.
Despite the failure, the cricketer never gave up and continued honing her skills. Then, in 2017, Chaudhary tied the knot with her hubby Akash Rajdev and moved to the United States. She also brought her passion for cricket with her.
Chaudhary was involved with India Blue Women and Punjab Cricket Association. After her last season with the latter, she moved to Gurgaon and worked with Decathlon. At the same time, the Thapar University and Panjab University alum also played club cricket.
Made It To The American National Team
Before coming to the United States, Moksha contacted a few people who were either part of the USA cricket system or were related to the organization. They gave Sindhu advice on the organization and development of women’s cricket in the United States. So as soon as she arrived in the States, she began practicing. She competed in her first official USA women’s cricket event in June 2018. Then, in September 2021, Moksha was selected for the American Women’s Twenty20 International team, captained by Sindhu Sriharsha.

The team played in the 2021 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier tournament in Mexico. Furthermore, Moksha Chaudhary’s cricket journey further took her to make her WT20I debut in October 2021. Ever since, she has played in several other tournaments for the US national team.

In addition, she also idolizes Gleen McGrath, who is an Australian former international cricketer.
