On March 8, 2024, the studio issued a post to Dragon Ball’s fans, friends, and partners. They said the funeral service took place with Akira’s friends and a few relatives.
Likewise, Akira’s studio requested the media not to conduct interviews with the late manga artist’s family.
The studio, with respect and love, stated, “We hope that Akira Toriyama’s unique world of creation continues to be loved by everyone for a long time.”
