George Edward Foreman is a former boxer, businessman, minister, and author from the United States. He participated in boxing between 1967 and 1997 and went by the nickname Big George. Talking about his personal life, he is a proud father of 12 children, and all of George Foreman’s sons have one thing in common: their first names.

A doting dad, what could be the reason behind the shared name? So, let’s look at the fascinating tale of how the famous boxer decided to give all of his boys the same name.

Five Brothers With The Same Name

George is a proud father of five boys and seven girls. As mentioned earlier, all of George Foreman’s sons are named George. So, it must be really confusing in the Foreman family. Many must be wondering about the motive behind giving them the same name.

On his website, Foreman explained that he gave all of his boys the same name so they would always have something in common. He further added that he often says that if one of them goes up, all would go up together, and if one goes down, they all would go down together.

While all the Foreman boys have the same first name, they also have nicknames for themselves since things can get a bit complicated. For instance,  George Foreman Jr., George Foreman III, known as Monk, George Foreman IV, known as Big Wheel, George Foreman V, known as Red, and George Foreman VI, known as Little Joey. Most of them have avoided the spotlight, but George III followed in his dad’s boxing career by turning a pro boxer.

George III won 15 knockout matches during his 2009–2012 career and compiled a 16-0 record. He switched from a fighter to a fitness trainer and co-founded the EverybodyFights boxing and fitness deluxe gym in 2013. The company has six sites throughout five American cities, including New York City, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Similarly, Jason Bher is another popular personality known for being a good dad to his children.

Proud Dad To His Daughters

Apart from George Foreman’s sons, he has seven daughters. His five biological baby girls are Michi Foreman, Natalie Foreman, Leola Foreman, Michi Foreman, Georgetta Foreman, and Freeda Foreman. In addition, he adopted Courtney Isaac Foreman in 2012 and Isabella Brandie Lilja in 2009.

Unfortunately, George Edward Foreman’s kid, Freeda, passed away on March 10, 2019, in an apparent suicide. Before her passing, Freeda attempted professional boxing while also pursuing her acting venture. She began fighting in 2000 and retired with a 5-1 record in 2001. The late boxer shared two children with her husband and had three grandchildren.

Additionally, Natalia is a professional singer who began performing at four in her dad’s church. According to her LinkedIn profile, the former lead singer of HHLTD also works as a professor. Also, her sister Georgetta is a TV producer who is known for her work on the shows like Divorce Court (1999), America’s Court with Judge Ross(2010), and We the People with Judge Lauren Lake(2022).

They also adopted Isabella and Courtney. He was wedded to Adrienne Calhoun from 1971 to 1974, and they share a daughter, Michi.

The boxer married Cynthia Lewis from 1977 to 1979 and Sharon Goodson from 1981 to 1982. Furthermore, the iconic athlete’s fourth marriage with Andrea Skeete in 1982 ended in 1985, and they gave birth to Freeda and George III. Similarly, Foreman welcomed George Jr. with Pamela Clay and Georgetta with Charlotte Gross.

Overall, George Foreman’s sons and daughters are doing well in life and will undoubtedly have successful careers in whatever they decide to do. We hope they have a successful future.
