Then, on January 24, 2004, six months after dating, Selma and Ahmet decided on forever in a low-key ceremony. They hosted their wedding ceremony in Carrie Fisher’s home in Coldwater Canyon, Calif. The former couple was supposed to get married at Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Rey, California. However, they changed the locations at the last minute.
The actress wore a simple gown without a veil and participated in a traditional Jewish ceremony. They got married surrounded by approximately 70 guests, including Ahmet Zappa’s brother Dweezil Zappa and sister Moon Unit Zappa.
It was a lovely ceremony, as reported by one of the friends who attended the nuptials.
