A Holistic Nutritionist and Health Counselor, Debbi Symes
LANIMA Skin‘s Debbi Symes has always been interested in and passionate about integrative nutrition.
Before founding LANIMA, Symes was a Holistic Nutritionist and Health Counselor for about four years. If you are unaware of what that is, let us make it simple for you.
Holistic Nutritionists are not like dieticians. They focus on improving and maintaining their clients’ health through natural foods, supplements, and habitual changes.
Holistic nutrition focuses on the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. Debbi Symes used her passion in the creation of a beauty brand that is unlike any other available in the market.
Creation of LANIMA Skin
Every brand has its own story of creation, and the road to making of LANIMA Skin is quite remarkable.
LANIMA Skin‘s founder Debbi Symes was struggling with infertility and has had multiple unsuccessful attempts at IVF as well.
So, Debbi embarked on a journey in the pursuit of natural plant-powered remedies coveted for regenerative properties.
Symes’ journey led her to the deserts of Morocco, to the rose fields of Bulgaria, then to India.
In Morocco, Symes discovered ancient healing clays and ceremonial-grade teas, which were used in her Daily Powder Cleanser.
While in India, Debbi realized the detoxifying and glow-activating effects of wild turmeric and white sandalwood, which she used to make refining clay masks.
The rose fields of Bulgaria inspired the creation of LANIMA‘s Luminous Face Oil, a concentrated blend of 18 plant oils.
Eventually, Debbi’s journey took her to Rwanda, where she bonded with locals (soul sisters), where her passion for self-care and self-sustainment collided.
The experience led Debbi to understand the benefits and importance of self-care and self-sustainment, which ultimately led to the creation of LANIMA Skin.

What is LANIMA Skin?
The findings, learnings, and experience Debbi got from her trip to Rwanda led to creating a brand that’s home to potent and pure ingredients.
The brand claims that each ingredient in LANIMA Skin is sourced from farms, forests, and faraway lands, including healing clays and nourishing roots.
Each ingredient has healing properties, and the formula is highly effective and crafted to nourish both people and the planet.
LANIMA is a brand created during Debbi Syme’s healing sojourn. It indeed is a brand that targets the audience looking for more sustainable alternatives in their skin care.
For instance, LANIMA makes facial oil that includes macadamia nut oil, which is non-comedogenic and is considered great for moisturizing. Learn about Kosas Cosmetics founder Sheena Yaitanes.
The wild Calabash and Moringa seed oil seeped in African Neroli, Jasmine, Patchouli, and Geranium, are handcrafted in micro batches to preserve potency.
Every purchase supports the LANIMA Food Forest Project and ongoing efforts with Humanity Unified International.
The brand overall is one of a kind in its nature, and we wish further success of the brand in the coming future.
