At Arkham, Fleck meets Harley Quinn, who, in the film, is an inmate in the Asylum, like Fleck. Throughout the trailer, we can see Quinn’s fondness and obsession with Joker. She even tells him that she has not done anything that Fleck has done in his life.
Similarly, the montage alternates between Joker’s and Harley’s delusions. As they tango through the streets of Gotham, they imagine themselves spinning together on roofs illuminated by the night sky. They are lighted on a gigantic performance stage, with lights reading “JOKER & HARLEY.”
However, this all might be inside Fleck’s head, as we saw in the first movie, where he, in his mind, believed that he and his neighbor were in love. The dynamic duo stomps up courthouse steps to crowds of cheering fans, smirking in their clown makeup.
The Harley-Joker dynamics look to be a relationship of equally demented minds where they both hold their own twisted power.
