Gahagen was born and raised in Williamsville, New York, where he also completed his high school education. He joined his high school baseball team and became acquainted with former American football player Rob Gronkowski.
Furthermore, Taylor entered the State University of New York, SUNY, at Fredonia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (BSBA).

Even though the Instagram photo has since been deleted, the earliest image Pegula still has online of Gahagen is from a date in New York City in September 2016.

1. Taylor and Jessica Exchanged Vows in 2021
The lovely couple tied the knot in holy matrimony in October 2021 after delaying the ceremony for one year due to the Covid -19 pandemic. They decided to do a simple ceremony with friends and family in Asheville, North Carolina.
The wedding ceremony saw the participation of some famous tennis personalities such as Jennifer Brady, Taylor Townsend, Samantha Crawford, and Asia Muhammad.
The newlywed could not go on their honeymoon until 2022 due to Pegula’s commitment to her tennis schedules. Thus, they visited the country of beaches and wildlife, Costa Rica, in July 2022.
